I once did an interview with thespot.nu. It can still be found in the Depot section of their website. Please keep in mind that I was 16 years old when writing this.
The interview:
Q: Why (and how) did you enter the world of web design?
A: Someone showed me how to use Photoshop and everything evolved from there. I was mostly self-taught with help from friends along the way.
Q: Why is web design so popular these days?
A: Because no one is leaving their houses nowadays. Everything can be done on the internet. I can even buy gas online if I wanted to go out for a change.
Q: Black or Blue and why?
A: Blue, I have no clue why. It's like an instinct. Everything I wear or do seems to involve blue. Although, I've been trying to get away from that.
Q: List 2 of your favorite URL's and tell me why you like them.
A: threeoh.com is one of my greatest sources of inspiration and I'm amazed everytime I see chapter3.net.
Q: Why is the world the way it is?
A: Because we made it that way.
Q: What do you think of people who buy lottery tickets?
A: Democrats
Q: What does money mean to you?
A: Everything. It's the thing I love the most nowadays. I can't get away from it. It already has me locked down. When I look towards the future all I see is status.
Q: What makes you cry?
A: I'd rather not say simply because I don't want to scare anyone.
Q: Humanity in ten years...
A: We will try and be all futuristic but I think it will take way more than 10 years to evolve into anything different, assuming we survive that long.
Q: Do you use your creativity in other fields?
A: Yes, I try to apply my creativity wherever I can. I always try and think outside of the box.
Q: If you could rebuild the world from scratch, on what principles would you do it?
A: You know, I've never thought about that but I would make everyone a certain race (a new highly evolved race, I'm not a supremacist). One that everyone can agree upon so that there would be no more segregation or hate crimes of any sort. I would make sure that what I did would make everyone happy first. Then of course I would create the beauty that I see in my head because I sure as hell can't do it now.
Q: Let's say that computers and the internet didn't exist. What would you be doing?
A: Manual Artwork. I would probably be a druggy slacker type of kid. Computers are the world to me, it is my drug of choice.
Thoughts: You know, the thing I love about all of us (designers that is) is that we are all totally different artists and see beauty and creativity in different ways but we are the same type of people with the same ambitions; clarity, unity, peace and promoting individuality & creativity even though we all hate netscape.
But we all learn from each other and help one another out (most of us that is) and that's the beauty part of it. We aren't really out to make a capital or some shit like that and if we were it would pay for domain names and hosting. At least that's how i see it. I could say a lot more but I think I'll stop or else I will start to get really philosophical and shit.
