For a short time I was really obsessed with watching all of the beheading videos the terrorists were producing at ogrish.com. I'm not sure why, but I guess I just needed to see them to judge for myself and not listen to mainstream media's opinion on them. I later came across a bad quality digital photo that reminded me of the quality of these beheading videos. I just had to use it. Yes, that is me and that is my revolver. I'm trying to comment on the fact that no matter who you are the second you say something bad about America you're considered a terrorist. I see it quite the opposite. I think that a great nation can become greater by utilizing constructive criticism instead of squashing it with their feet.
I was never sure of what phrase to use on this piece. I started with Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Thought. I was told that this solution makes more sense.
The photograph was taken by my good friend Jessica at lowercasejess.com.
