In my Graphic Design Studio class at SVA with Tracy Boychuk and Jen Roddie from Trooper CA we were told to create a cereal box and take it any direction we wanted. I was trying to think of something that would stick out amongst all the flashy cereal boxes that you find in the isles of major grocery store chains. Black was the answer. I also wanted to comment on social issues at the time. On the back there's a list of different websites you can goto for information.
