Shortly after the 9-11 attack when we were back at school our painting teacher Aura Rosenberg set up a still life for us to paint that contained nothing but random junk, mostly bottles. I didn't feel like painting at all then and all I had on my mind was the World Trade Center catastrophe. I positioned myself in a spot where I could paint these two large bottles which didn't quite look like this. I basically wanted to paint something that symbolized the towers.
