This is one of the first large paintings I ever created. One day I felt like doing something new so I went into my garage and found all these old paint cans my parents had stashed away and just started creating something.
I consider this to be raw emotion. I don't think I've ever created something so pure and true to thought. I was sort of upset after painting it because I used way too much paint and I didn't have this cardboard mounted on anything to keep it flat and not warp. Fortunately I had a number of old hockey sticks lying around that I didn't want anymore so I cut them all up and created stretcher bars out of them and mounted the painting on them. I even made cross bars!
It is still one of my favorite pieces of all time.
